1UP Studio is a creative design studio dedicated to building "Digital Power-Ups"—playful, inclusive games and tools designed for therapeutic and educational use. We bridge the gap between clinical evidence and engaging gameplay, making skill-building fun for children and manageable for adults.
-
Our games are designed for anyone who wants to play! They are primarily designed for children, and are are widely used by occupational therapists (OTs), teachers, and parents of neurodivergent children (including those with ADHD, Autism, and SPD) who want purposeful, high-quality screen time options.

Therapist & Partner Resources
-
Yes! Our 1UP Toolkit offers free resources, such as session trackers and skill-building worksheets, that complement our digital games. These are designed to help bridge the gap between screen-based play and screen-free activities. Our tool kit is still growing, so check back often for new resources.
-

MixUp FixUp Gameplay
-
MixUp FixUp isn’t just "OT-approved"—it designed from the start based on core occupational therapy principles and frameworks. Our gameplay loop is intentionally designed to simulate clinical interventions that target many visual perceptual skills, for example:
Visual Memory: Players must "snap a photo" with their mind to remember where characters belong. This strengthens the brain's ability to store and retrieve visual information for daily tasks.
Visual Discrimination: Finding the exact right character among similar options. which trains the brain to filter out distractions and notice the small details essential for skills such as reading and letter recognition.
Spatial Relationships: Players practice determining the correct position of the characters relative to one another and other items in the scene, supporting organization and understanding directional words.
MixUp FixUp can be used to target more than just visual perceptual skills. Learn more about how it can help here.

Absolutely! While the game is built on a therapeutic foundation, the "magic" is that it just feels like play. Children love the silly animations, the vibrant worlds, and the "Chaos Goblins." Whether you are using it in a therapy session or as a fun, low-stress activity at home, the enjoying play is always one of the main goals.
-
The game features diverse environments designed to keep engagement high, including Chiggy's At Home, North Pole: Polar Peek, and coming soon - Adventure Island! Each theme offers different levels of visual complexity to scale the challenge for the player. We will continue building more playful worlds showcasing our chiggies, their friends, and all the shenanigans they create along the way.
